Guiding Principles of the Exploretography community:

​

 1. Exploretography is for everyone

• Everyone is encouraged everyone to partake in exploretography no matter the abilities or skills of the person.

 

 2.  Exploretography is not dependent on activity or gear

• We are based on doing something new or out of the norm and creating a lasting memory no matter the gear or craft you practice.

 

 3.  Exploretography is about exploring

• Getting out and exploring is about the effort to follow a path unfamiliar or out of the norm.  Life is short and we encourage each other to make good use of our time on this earth.

 

4. Exploretography is about creating,  without regard to brand, media, or experience level.

• We inspire everyone to create based on exploration and the retained memory is what is important, not the brand of gear, the type of media, nor the skill level of the craft.  What is important is your passion and admiration of the art created.

 

5. Exploretography is about inspiring each other to embrace exploration, gain skills, and enhance the crafts

• Map to inspire exploring new areas

• Training and sharing of knowledge for others to gain skills

• Support the crafts by sharing of knowledge

 

6. Exploretography is about giving back and making it better

• Explore & Restore program is to encourage the community to clean up areas we enjoy exploring.  For Love & Craft is an effort to contribute to charities through the sale of art from exploring. 

• “For Love and Craft” merchandise is designed and offered for sale and all proceeds will be donated to charity to help others in need.

 

7. Exploretography is about embracing each moment and having fun

• Life is short, get out to explore, create, and have fun
